Soccer in the Streets to Present Soccer: Embracing Diversity

Soccer in the Streets and Street Football World will be presenting a panel discussion entitled Soccer: Embracing Diversity, Tuesday, July 21 at the National Center for Civil and Human Rights in Atlanta, Ga.

Atlanta United FC President Darren Eales, former US men’s national team goalkeeper Brad Friedel, former US women’s national team goalkeeper Briana Scurry and head coach of the US Paralympic team Stuart Sharp will be in attendance.

The panel of experts will discuss the unique potential for soccer to do good at the regional, national and community level. The panel will discuss the opportunities within soccer to fight exclusion and promote diversity in the United States, according to the Civil and Human Rights website.

According to Soccer in the Streets, Soccer: Embracing Diversity is a high-profile event showcasing the power of the world’s most popular sport to fight racism and homophobia.

Proceeds from the even will go towards supporting you development programs. It will also help provide opportunities for at-risk youth.
