Introducing the “Mouths of the South” podcast

We here at Dirty South Soccer are proud to announce the launch of our official podcast entitled “Mouths of the South”. It’s a brand new podcast that will focus primarily on Atlanta United FC and all things Atlanta soccer. Of course we’ll mix in some other things along the way.

The podcast will have three co-hosts to begin. Sam Franco (@samjfranco), Eric Quintana (@EricQuintana47), and Jason Smith (@jasonisasmith) will be the proverbial “mouths” of the south.

Our goal is to become the premier AUFC podcast for the supporters to fall in love with.

In the first episode, the guys discuss how they got into soccer, what the new team means to them, the team name/logo, the stadium name, and put together a wishlist of potential designated players.

Without further ado, here is the inaugural “Mouths of the South” podcast.

(We tried to embed but WordPress wouldn’t cooperate. It’ll work a lot better once we get to SB Nation).

Please give us any feedback you have. And if you have questions or thoughts for the guys to discuss in future episodes please send us an email at dirtysouthsoccer@gmail.com

  1. Want to alienate possible fans real quick? Make fun of their allegiances to other teams in your initial podcast. Being Chelsea and Man U fans tells me all I need to know about the “quality” we should come to expect out of this mess…. And a Liverpool fan? Man, you typically like to poke yourself in the eyes with gasoline and rusty nails on a weekly basis? Be nothing compared to the torture that club puts its fans through.

    COME ON YOU GUNNERS!!!

Ok ok, all kidding aside, I aint mad at ya. I’m THRILLED we have a team to call our own. I’m a founding member from the original announcement and have followed every bit of news I possibly could from day 1. I grew up on German National soccer (mom is Austrian) I’ve lived in Italy and followed Verona and Fiorntina, and most recently lived in Shanghai when Drogba’s dirty cheatin ass was playing for the blue boys.

Keep up the good work guys, and if you need a Gunners Fan as a guest on the podcast to talk about how excited he is for a hometown team, drop me a line. I’d be happy to contribute.
